21 Days

President Trump announced today that he will support a short-term funding bill to reinstate furloughed federal workers for 21 days while border security negotiations take place.

As reported by The Hill:

"'In that [21 day] period, the President said, a bipartisan committee of House and Senate lawmakers will meet to develop a funding proposal for Homeland Security.
He expressed optimism that the resulting pitch would include funds for his long-promised border wall, which he maintained 'should not be controversial.'
'After 36 days of spirited debate and dialogue, I have seen and heard from enough Democrats and Republicans that they are willing to put partisanship aside, I think, and put the security of the American people first,' Trump said in remarks delivered from the Rose Garden."

+ + This is a vital matter of national and personal security!

We are calling on our tin-eared lawmakers to listen and act on behalf of the will of a clear majority of the American people and protect our southern border! The government's primary obligations to the American people are physical safety, economic security, essential public services and the uniform protection of our laws.
That's why Liberty Counsel is asking every concerned American to demand that lawmakers FUND THE WALL (aka "the barrier or fence"), enhance border protection, reform our immigration system and END the government shutdown.

<#first_name#>, we lock our homes and install burglar alarms. We do not open the doors of our home to complete strangers. When it comes to the doors of our nation, we know that terrorists, drug pushers, and gang members are entering illegally through Mexico. The wall and enhanced border security are necessary to stop the flow of dangerous people and damaging materials into our country.
As always, we will be closely monitoring the actions of Congress in their attempts to resolve the crisis on our southern border.

Thank you for taking prompt and decisive action!
God bless you,
