Rebuilding the foundation

"Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people." Ronald Reagan

Unprecedented threats are relentlessly targeting our freedom. This ongoing attack is coercive, unyielding and highly aggressive. Left unchecked, you and I will not be exempt from the painful consequences!

Because religious liberty is precious, Liberty Counsel is resolved to meet the escalating challenges in the nation's courtrooms, in legislative chambers and in every realm of public life. This year, Liberty Counsel's victories on behalf of religious liberty include, among others:

• Won a four-year case filed against Pastor Scott Lively by Sexual Minorities of Uganda (SMUG) and financed by radical billionaire George Soros in which SMUG accused the pastor of international "crimes against humanity" for sharing the biblical view of marriage in Uganda in 2002 and 2009.

• Successfully defended Tom Parker, former Associate Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, against a complaint filed by the Southern Poverty Law Center which sought to remove him from the Court. Liberty Counsel filed suit and a federal court ruled that a speech restriction in the Alabama Canons of Judicial Ethics violated the First Amendment.  After the case was settled, Justice Parker won election to become Chief Justice.

• Defeated an unconstitutional policy in Indiana and gained the right for Child Evangelism Fellowship to have equal access and equal treatment for its after-school Good News Clubs.

+ + Rebuilding the foundation of our liberties...

Civil liberties are God-given, inalienable and self-evident. Religious freedom predates civil government and the United States Constitution. The fight for religious freedom is a battle for the heart and soul of our nation. If we lose our religious freedom, then we have lost America to tyranny.

Today, we are facing an all-out assault on liberty, faith and family in large part due to the massive legal war chests that groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center, the ACLU and others have at their disposal. These groups aggressively use the courts to bully, intimidate and impose their anti-faith values.

That's why Liberty Counsel's work is so critical, and it's why I'm asking for your financial support right now.

Thankfully, the Lord has provided a $100,000 Year-End Challenge Grant to Liberty Counsel that will effectively double the impact of every dollar you donate between now and the end of the year.

Will you prayerfully consider making your best possible gift to Liberty Counsel so we can fight these and other critical legal battles for faith and family?

Some of the cases we are engaged in take months and even years for resolution. Others (like the recent school ban on "Jesus") represent actions taken by our legal team during the Christmas season to defend people of faith who are coming under attack.

I must keep our legal team working on each of these cases while we respond to the increasing attacks on religious liberty and faith we are seeing in our schools and communities across the nation!

Can I count on your help?

Remember... because of this Providential Challenge Grant, every dollar you donate will be doubled in its impact!

Finally, thank you so much for your continued prayers, partnership, and support. Without friends like you, we simply could not fight these battles. Every call we answer from a Christian coming under attack, and every case we fight, is dependent on the prayers and financial support of friends like you.

Thanks in advance, and God bless you!
